Windows as well as iOS native support

Native support for Mobile BI on iOS and Windows for BOARD 8.1BOARD has released version 8.1 in January 2014. This version also allows for mobile use, on iOS as well as Windows 8. The main focus for this release was supporting large global deployments of BOARD and thus a solid back-end.

Improved scalability through caching

Enhancements in this release include scalability, security, language localization and better monitoring for administrators. Thousands of concurrent users can be handled with 8.1 without performance loss due to improved session handling and caching.

Stronger security in place

Enhanced user profile management and custom security rules and alerts, provide stronger security. The software has been outfitted with language localization, allowing a user to buttons or menus in their own language. System administrators profit from expanded system logging. They can now monitor most event types and quickly build dashboards and alerts to adhere to corporate compliance rules.

Improved usability

Usability was also improved, amongst other things by a Data Spreading Modeler. This increases the effectivity of decision making by allowing end users to – according to configurable models – apply and allocate data. Source:
