Innovations of ThoughtSpot Business Intelligence tools and the version history

Recently, we see a positive evolution in relation to BI & Analytics functionality and support for various platforms, and data sources. The latest innovations are in the areas of mobile business intelligence > iPhone, business intelligence > reporting > operational reporting, and artificial intelligence > computer vision > image recognition.

We reviewed ThoughtSpot’s most recent releases of the total product range. Below you can see the successive versions of all the ones known to us BI & Analytics products of ThoughtSpot:

  • SpotIQ: 101 9.6.0
  • ThoughtSpot Business Intelligence: 2024 9.5.0 8.8.1 6.3 6.2 6.1 6.0.5 6.0.4
  • ThoughtSpot mobile: 2.7 2.0

Behind each product are the version numbers, the most recent updates are listed first.

What are the licensing costs of ThoughtSpot Embrace, SpotIQ, and ThoughtSpot DataFlow?

It is difficult to determine exactly what a license of ThoughtSpot Embrace, SpotIQ, and ThoughtSpot DataFlow costs because it depends on the country, the number of users (also consider the amount of CPUs for server versions), the connectors to data sources, and at what point in the year you request a quote. If you do this a few weeks before the end of ThoughtSpot’s fiscal quarter, you may be in for a decent discount. In addition, it makes sense to run the software in the cloud, for the most part, you only pay for your consumption then. The purchase cost of ThoughtSpot Embrace, SpotIQ, and ThoughtSpot DataFlow may not be the single largest expense, but maintenance and support do return each year.

What makes ThoughtSpot BI & Analytics innovative

In our study, we see that ThoughtSpot in the field of BI & Analytics software has several specific features which may be the deciding factor in purchasing. This makes ThoughtSpot Business Intelligence more or less unique: conversational analysis, SaaS analytics, snowflake schema, correlation analysis, and design decisions.
