Does the product automatically suggest corrections to syntax or field name errors? OTIC designer uses two general types of impact analyses, immediate impact and postponed impact modes, to handle changes to the properties of an object. Also it’s possible to verify the syntax of the expression by clicking the Check Expression button. If the syntax is invalid, an error message appear

Can the real-time and batch modules be bought separately? The Integration Center offers an integrated set of components that allows to design, deploy and maintain data transformation and exchange processes in one package.

Non-structured data

If non-structured data can be read – which types? OTIC can read most non-structured data generated in media like email messages, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, collaborative BI software and instant messages. OTIC can also read Non-textual unstructured data is generated in media like JPEG images, MP3 audio files and Flash video files.

Analytical functions

Is it possible to call (external) analytical functions e.g. forecasting, basket analysis, regression from within the load process? OTIC has a complete set of transformation functions. OTIC offers roughly 150 generic functions that can be used to build complex expressions or custom functions. These functions can be processed inside the OTIC Engine or Linux, but they can also be automatically translated in native SQL functions in order to execute them on the database engine side.
