Passionned has been carrying out research into the BI marketplace since the company started in 2003, specifically we have studied the different functionality that is available within the different tools and the effect that has on the success (or otherwise) of BI projects.  Our expectation is that the market will change drastically in the next 12 months from a market where 80% of the software came from relatively small, innovative software companies to a "commodity" BI marketplace where BI software is sold as an add-on to the database or ERP system, at a fraction, 20%, of the price that we have traditionally paid. 

This research report examining the most up-to-date versions of the BI tools will give you the best insight into the trends, innovations, and available functionality of the most important players in the BI market.
