Performance Management Audit

Do you have a Performance Management System that doesn't work? That was developed according to the latest standards, cost a fortune, and nobody uses it? Is the system full of information that nobody is interested in, or is the response time so bad that you run out of patience? Is the reliability of the information so bad that everybody laughs at the results, or does it just not tell you anything that you want to know? Then our Performance Management Audit may well be the opportunity you were looking for to reanimate your information systems so that they actually do what you had expected them to do.

You probably use several different products for Performance Management, various software packages and a datawarehouse and yet none of them have produced the Return On Investment (ROI) that you both hoped for and expected. In cooperation with a number of the important people in your organisation we analyse both the systems and the organisation from head to toe and give you succinct, practical advice on how to produce better results both short and long term.

The Performance Management Audit finds the largest bottle-necks and diagnoses the biggest problems in just one week irrespective of whether they are technical or organisational issues. We examine, amongst other things the following aspects:

  • The response times needed for interactive analysis, refreshing reports and scorecards;
  • The relationship between roles, decision support information and the critical success factors;
  • The connection(s) between performance management and salary/bonus systems (you pay for what you get and you get what you pay for);
  • The quality of both the data and the information that is generated;
  • The way that the data is extracted from the source (back-office) systems;
  • How the information is presented (graphics, charts etc.);
  • The way the users are organised and their requirements;
  • The fitness for purpose of the information for the tasks and responsibilities of the staff and management;
  • The architectural design and the data models that are being used;
  • The structure of end user data, cubes and data marts (if applicable);
  • The end user and support documentation;
  • The way that the system is supported (technically).

At the end of the week we deliver a full report including a management summary, concrete recommendations and a risk analysis.
