Business Intelligence (BI) Advice & Business Intelligence (BI) Strategy
The first steps are to asses the existing situation by carrying out a series of interviews with the key people in the organisation and holding workshops and questionnaires. These steps are based on the Grow Smart Scenario Model (GSM). This gives a good insight into both the existing situation and the organisation's ambitions, which are then recorded in a multi-dimensional model.
We are looking for answers to the following questions:
- How can we simplify the operational management decision support information?
- Which different types of reports and dashboards are the most suitable?
- Do we have the right skills available amongst the managers and staff to be successful?
- Do we need a datawarehouse or can we do without one?
- What should our long term strategy look like?
- Who in the organisation is going to "own" the Business Intelligence organisation?
Based on the initial analysis and the answers to these questions we produce a provisional recommendation, which includes various scenarios for both the short and long term . These various possibilities are discussed with the key people involved in the decision, the finalised proposal is presented to in the form of a mini-conference.
