BI Projects & Governance
Your organisation wants to provide your managers and employees with reliable, relevant, and ideally integrated management information. To measure our position relative to our goals we define key performance indicators (kpi's), standards and targets.
Taking account of the Organisation
We develop, build and implement reporting systems, dashboards and analytical applications which are tuned to the requirements of both the functions and the people which they support to ensure that we don't drown in a sea of (useless) information. It is important to take account of the ergonomics, the ease-of-use, the actionability and the organisational aspects of the information that is made available. Special attention needs to be paid to unstructured sources of information (e.g. documents and emails).
Not IT, but behaviour as starting point
We know how to let the IT side of business intelligence work, collecting and combining data and transforming it into information. An important success factor of business intelligence is however, to take the "soft" side - which will not be as soft as one may think - as the starting point.

It is not always the case that people are waiting for new information and knowledge. To prevent us from building sophisticated and expensive data warehouses or elegant dashboards, which will be rarely used because managers and employees do not really know how to act upon all that information, we need to take account of the behaviour and cultural aspects.
Business Intelligence Governance
We assist organisations to increase business value, governance and integrity of their Business Intelligence projects and operations. Often in the form of a business intelligence competence centre (BICC) or a business intelligence technical centre (BITC).
